Features of Joomla

Here are the features of Joomla,

  • Open Source
    Joomla is a free and open source Content Management System (CMS).
  • Content Management System (CMS)
    Joomla is a CMS, which helps in creating, managing and modification of content. CMS provides options to add multiple users, manage permission and work around smoothly.
  • Templates
    Templates are the layouts, which gives layout to the website. A separate section if for Templates in Joomla, whereas you can easily add new templates. The default which is visible after the installation is Protostar.
  • Extensions
    Extensions extends the functionality of a website. Joomla provides options to easily add and update extensions.
  • Modules
    Extensions also provides Modules for Joomla, for example, adding most read articles on the website, adding related articles section on the website. Many other free modules are also available.
  • Plugins
    Plugins further helps in adding more features to the website. For example, Authenticating Gmail.
  • Joomla Control Panel
    Dashboard of Joomla is known as Joomla Control Panel. It is available to the administrator so that the website can be developed smoothly with various menus such as adding article, adding users, structure, extensions, etc.
  • Multilingual website
    Add multiple languages to your website with Drupal. A separate section is provided for adding more than language.
